The café culture in Brighton & Hove is a world in itself, and for us it’s one of our favourite things about this fabulous seaside town!
i gigi's own general store café has been mentioned in a number of publications over the last few months, including RED Magazine and Source Magazine, as a must-try in Brighton!
“i gigi is like a house, with all our customers our guests. At their suggestion, we created the upstairs café. It’s a simple affair in an amazing space, with a menu of delicious homemade dishes…” Extract taken from ‘a life less ordinary' by Zoe & Alex
Our light, bright and relaxing cafe is a delightful, air-conditioned space where you can fill your bellies with our delicious and nutritious food and watch the busy street below pass by! We serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea in our café and all our dishes are made with locally sourced ingredients, along with lots of indulgent homemade cakes for you to sample!
But, don’t pay attention to our self provocation! Here’s a collection of what others have kindly had to say about our lovely little cafe:
“With its huge windows overlooking Western Road, the café upstairs at i gigi is the prefect place to relax” Brighton Starling
“Lovely local cafe above an equally lovely home-ware shop in Hove. Feels like being in someone's beautiful kitchen or dining room. The tea and cake are delicious and served in "proper" crockery - the savoury snacks (especially the welsh rarebit) is divine.” K.B, Brighton
“Upstairs in i gigi's general store, it's a cute space with big windows, a handful of wooden chairs and tables and a lovely aesthetic. It also has wonderful coffee and a small but impressive selection of lip-smackingly good food. Their selection of home-baked cakes, meringues and brownies also make i gigi an ideal place to catch up with friends over cake and coffee or afternoon tea.” S.J, Brighton
“The coffee was very good, as were the homemade scones I ate (2, don't judge me). I would say that this might well be the best cafe in the neighbouring area” F.T, Brighton
